Best Flip Phones for Seniors in Canada — 2026 Guide

Why Seniors Love Flip Phones

What to Look for When Buying a Flip Phone for a Senior

• Carrier compatibility: Confirm the phone works on your family member's carrier (Rogers, Bell, Telus, Freedom, etc.)
• 4G LTE support: 3G networks have been shut down in Canada — make sure the phone is 4G-ready
• Emergency SOS button: A dedicated button for emergencies is a major safety feature
• Hearing aid compatibility (HAC): Look for an M3/T3 or higher HAC rating
